Book Couture

This design was made by Kyla McCallum, founder of Foldability, whilst studying in Cologne as part of her Master of European Design in 2008. It was one of her first projects with folding and was one of the main reasons that her obsession began. The Book Couture skirt was made using 67 books and over 20,000 pages, which were each meticulously folded by hand. The images were shot by photographer Natascha Aplas.
